Counseling & Social Work Services
The OCEC and Chana Education Center firmly believe that effective counseling is a critical component in an overall program for at risk students.
The Chana Education Center implements a program to address the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of our students. We have named the program "Empowerment Skills" to keep in line with the Chana Education Center mission statement.
Empowerment Skills is a program that is derived from the more widely known "Aggression Replacement Training Program" that has been expanded to include the "Peace Curriculum".
We have matched the four units of instruction included in the "Peace Curriculum" with each of our four grading quarters. This is a building wide program held during the first period of each day.
